City of Bloomington Volunteer Network Looking for volunteer opportunities in the community? The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network is your one-stop source for community volunteer information in Bloomington and Monroe County. Browse the volunteer opportunities of over 90 community organizations online! Match your needs with available opportunities or search by date on the volunteer calendar. You can also set up a user profile online to create customized searches that match your interests, log your volunteer hours, email your friends and ask them to volunteer with you or save your volunteering preferences and receive emails when new postings match your interests. Indiana Student Foundation Metz GrantFunding for the Metz Grant Program comes from the Arthur R. Metz Philanthropic Opportunity Fund and is administered through the IUSF Scholarships and Service Committee. The Metz Grant Program will annually award $50,000 in grant money; $25,000 in the fall and $25,000 in the spring. Metz Grants are available to IU student organizations that are registered through the Student Activities Office. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial support for a philanthropic cause. If your organization is not registered through the SAO, you may apply for official recognition through the SAO website. Community Service Mini-Grant Indiana Campus Compact Is your student organization looking for funding for a local community service project? ICC offers mini-grants for students for up to $1,000. Students interested in applying will also need to apply for a 25% cash match of the amount requested from the IUSA Funding board (click on “Student Aid”). National AmeriCorps offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. Full-time members who complete their service earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school, or to pay back qualified student loans. Change.org aims to transform social activism by serving as the central platform that connects like minded people, whatever their interests, and enables them to exchange information, share ideas, and collectively act to address the issues they care about.
