Advocates for Community Engagement (ACE)--Office of Service-Learning
ACEs are IU Bloomington undergraduate students from a diversity of majors and backgrounds with a commitment to civic engagement and leadership.  ACEs hold paid undergraduate assistantships through the Office of Service-Learning coordinating service-learning courses between IU Bloomington and community organizations.

Autism Mentoring Program (AMP)—Hutton Honors College
*Participation is limited to Hutton Honors College students
The Autism Mentoring Program (AMP) pairs Hutton Honors College students with children and adolescents in the community who have Autism-spectrum differences. Hutton student volunteers serve AMP as mentors who create fun activities, which help to build social and communication skills.

Civic Leadership Development Program (CLD)--Kelley School of Business
This community service, learning and leadership program facilitates opportunities for any undergraduate student to volunteer in the Bloomington community, to learn about the nonprofit sector, and to consider issues critical to good citizenship.

Community Plunge

*Participation is limited to incoming students

This five day pre-Welcome Week event is sponsored by The Office of First Year Experience Programs in collaboration with the Student Activities Office.  Community Plunge provides first-year students with an overview of the community, campus, and local not-for-profit agencies. With a busy agenda of service, reflection, workshops, speakers, and fun, incoming freshman participants serve others while getting to know IU's campus and the city of Bloomington. Students examine social issues, discover community resources, and realize leadership potential by taking the Community Plunge.

Community Service Program (CSP)--Hutton Honors College
The CSP provides "community building" opportunities for students to join together in a variety of volunteer activities through local service organizations. You can also visit their community service blog for a listing of upcoming Honors-coordinated community service projects in addition to volunteer activities going on in the community.

The Journey Fellowship

The Journey Fellowship for Students is an 8-month program, running from January to August each year, that offers personal grounding and professional immersion experiences to college students interested in pursuing careers working with youth. Through overnight retreats, one day events and a summer internship at a youth serving agency, the Journey helps students develop a meaningful career path based on their unique gifts and passion. After successfully completing the program, students are awarded a $1,000 stipend. For program dates and to download the application, visit www.thejourneyonline.org.

LEAD IU

LEAD IU provides participants with tools and resources to chart a path to leadership through curricular and co-curricular offerings. Through participation, students develop skills, acquire knowledge, build relationships, and gain awareness of available opportunities. LEAD IU currently offers the 2 credit, Education U495 course Leadership and Community Service.

The Scholar Corps

The Scholar Corps is a student organization comprised of 21st Century Scholars who have a passion for service and leadership through volunteerism. The primary mission of Scholar Corps is to assist 21st Century Scholar students to find volunteer opportunities that match their career aspirations and general interests. In addition to individual volunteering, Scholar Corps students take part in group volunteer projects throughout each semester. The Scholar Corps also tracks and verifies students’ volunteer hours. Participation in the Scholar Corps promotes active engagement in both the campus and community. It also connects students to each other, IU, and community resources.
